From the Love of a Mother

My biggest inspirations come from the person that means the most to me which is my mom Eve’lyn Carthen. My mom inspires me because of the fact that she is a single parent mother that has come across a lot of obstacles in life.  My mom has been through so much in her life to raise two kids that has a father but do not want to do anything to support. I feel that raising two kids by her and taking in another has showed me so much responsibility when it comes to doing things in life.  When I look at my mom I see what I would love to be when I grow up: A strong black African American women. I feel that the definition of strong black women is my mom. The inspiration that my mom gives me I know will last for the rest of my life. Looking at my mom and the day to day struggles she goes through shows me a lot of integrity due to the fact that she doesn’t have to do it if she don’t want to, she do it to make a better life for her family. It doesn’t matter the circumstances of any situation she will always be there at the end of the day. When my mom tells me something I tend to say oh she doesn’t know what she is saying but at the end the words she told me help me along the way. I can talk to my mom about everything and more. That’s where most of her inspiration to me comes from is when we sit down and have our mother daughter moments. I cherish the moments we have because my mom always told me to cherish each moment like it’s your last. I can say that if it wasn’t for her I don’t know where I would be in life.
