I feel that the people that most influence my language and the way I speak is the people I'm around such as my friends and family. I could say when I'm talking to my friends I talk totally different that when im around my family. When you around certain people you tend to talk the way they talk. If you around your friends you tend to use more slang than when you around family or even other adults. I think the people that most influence me are when I’m talking is my family because you tend to have to have a civilized conversation with them. But yeah I talk slang to my little cousin but i know at the same time i can turn it on and off. I feel that when people talk to their friends they tend to think they have to talk slang but the truth is that you don’t have to really change the thinks you say to your friends. But when people are looking from the outside in its hard to think that if you say a certain word that you automatically is “ghetto” because of what you say. Which is wrong; you can never tell a person’s background just by the way you talk.
I understand what you are saying about family and friends impacting the way we speak. Also I understand what speaking proper around family is like due to my mom being from the south. The only thing I would suggest is that you check your grammar before posting
